Congratulations CASA, 2019 Grant Recipient!

On October 2, 2019, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Contra Costa County was awarded $108,000 from Impact 100! The $108,000 grant, which comes from the 108 members of Impact 100, will allow CASA to help foster children to receive the therapy they need in a more timely manner.
OPPORTUNITY JUNCTION RANKED #1 Poverty-fighting organization serving in U.S.

Opportunity Junction, Impact 100 East Bay's 2018 grant recipient, has been ranked the #1 poverty-fighting organization serving in the United States by ImpactMatters. Among 1,081 nonprofits around the world, Opportunity Junction also received a five-star rating for its cost-effectiveness. After the Impact Audit of Opportunity Junction, ImpactMatters concluded, a donation of “$14,000 increases the earnings of a person living in poverty by $44,000.”

We’ve had a lot of members ask for information they can talk to their colleagues/friends/relatives on becoming a member, so here it is! Impact 100 has over 35 Impact 100 chapters across the U.S. and Australia. We started our local chapter, Impact 100 East Bay, 3 years ago, and serve both the Contra Costa and Alameda counties! We have over 100 members and granted a total of $266,000 to 3 local non-profit organizations and our goal is to grow this to $500,000 (Five $100k grants annually)!

ANNOUNCING THE TRIPLE STAR PROGRAM!

What if Impact 100 East Bay could award more than one transformational grant a year?  It’s possible!  To make it happen, we need to grow our membership!

Recruiting new members is as easy as inviting a friend to one of our events.  We’re even adding an incentive - the Triple Star Program.  It’s our latest way of rewarding members who spread the word about Impact 100.  Here’s how it works:
·    
    • Bring 3 guests to one of our upcoming events.  Accomplish that and you’ll receive a prize at the event.
·    
    • Refer 3 women who ultimately become members by June 2020.  Reach that recruiting goal and you’ll receive a free guest ticket to our fabulous, annual Gala event.
·    
    • Recruit the most members.  Add the most members before June 2020 and receive $150 toward your preferred charity.

We have lots of ideas to help you attract new members. You might consider:

    • Hosting a small group at your home or at another venue.  We can help make that happen.
·    
    • Asking your employer to sponsor an informational session when Impact 100 representatives would present details about our amazing philanthropic organization.
